Hello, My Name is Edward Kortes (Eddie). I have been a resident of Easthampton for my entire life. I started my journey in the building/woodworking trade back in 2003, where I had taken a shop class at Easthampton High. I instantly fell in love with working with wood. After High school, I worked various jobs until my opportunity to get closer to the building trade came about. I got a job working for Rugg Lumber as a  forklift operator getting material orders together for contractors. Little did I know, that one of contractors I was getting material for, would end up being my boss for the next 12 years.  That contractor was none other than David A. Hardy. Dave, who is known by many in Easthampton as one of the best builders around, gave me an opportunity to learn how to build high quality homes, garages, etc. One thing we heard all the time is how great our work was and also as important, how friendly and kind we were.  After 12 years of being a part of the 3 man crew, I ended up leaving during the Covid Pandemic to take care of my 4 children that were now out of school, while my wife continued to work in the healthcare industry.

 Now with things being under control in world, I have decided to go on my own. Although I don't have a General Contractors license for major jobs like the jobs I did with Dave Hardy, I became licensed for small construction jobs and considered to be a Home Improvement Contractor while I go though the process of obtaining my general contractors license.  My business focus is custom work such as wall to wall shelving, closet storage, wood fences, and also finish carpentry such as casings, floors etc.  Although that is my business focus, I will also be doing repairs, some installations of various items, and painting.

I now also employ my wife who has became an amazing helper and does great work along with me.
